Cory Smoot aka
Flattus Maximus

Cory Smoot (aka Flattus Maximus) originally auditioned for GWAR in 1999 and was recruited in 2002.  As Flattus Maximus, he is an extremely technical player known for his wild solos and attributing his abilities to a strict vegetarian diet.

Cory operates his own live sound and mastering company entitled Karma Productions (karma@slavepitinc.com) and also known as Slave Pit Studios. He is also in two other bands, Locus Factor and Mensrea.  Cory has done several different recording projects as a musician for hire as well as some studio work for various television networks and world renowned recording artists. In the midst of the musical chaos, he is making GWAR props and keeping endorsers in check.

Jimmy Matejek

Jimmy Matejek was born in Houston, Texas and grew up in a house where the sound of a guitar was commonplace- both his father Donald Sr. and his older brother Donald Jr. played guitar. He decided to try his hand at playing at around 8 years of age and soon set Chet Atkins as his first major guitar hero.
Jimmy credits his family for exposing him to many forms of music at a young age- Chet and traditional country from his dad, Bill Doggett and 50's era-Elvis from his Mom, Judas Priest and Jimi Hendrix from his brother, and 70's-era Elvis and Lynyrd Skynyrd  from his two sisters, just to name a few early influences. After many years of playing in church, then local VFW halls and parties, then nightclubs around the country Jimmy relocated to Nashville by way of Georgia in the late 90's and in 2000 started playing acoustic guitar, 6-string banjo and harmony vocals with Montgomery Gentry.  Home recording, building guitar-based electronics projects and gigging locally in the Nashville area occupy his time when he's not on the Jim Beam bus.  Jimmy "

Jonathan Montoya, Saliva's lead guitarist has an amiable, infectious personality and his bodacious on-stage antics are a treat to watch. The antithesis of lead singer Josey Scott's more reserved dark suited stage presence, Montoya is a make-up, knickers and striped knee socks kind of guy. With seven albums to date, Saliva's 14 year career is in great shape.  Currently Jonathan is touring with SALIVA in support of their latest CD release "Take That Society".

Lukas Nelson, son of Willie Nelson, formed Promise of the Real in early 2009 with friends Merlyn Kelly (bass), Anthony LoGerfo (drums), Tato Melgar (percussion) and brother Micah Nelson.
Since their formation, Promise of the Real has played with such notable musicians as Willie Nelson, B.B. King, Toots and the Maytals and Blues Traveler. In fact, B.B liked them so much that he invited them back out in October and November of 2009 for a 21-date tour. Individually, they have performed with many musicians including Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi, Billy Gibbons, Jackson Browne, Patrick Simmons, Michael MacDonald and more.
Promise of the Real has an EP titled “Brando’s Paradise Sessions”, which was recorded, mixed and produced by John Avila (Oingo Boingo, The Mutaytor).  POTR is currently recording a new full length album during breaks on their current tour.
